Swimming starts after half term. Year 3 will be swimming on a Thursday.
This term in Year 3, we answer the question: How did Britain change from the Stone Age to the Iron Age? We learn how the people of this time changed from hunter-gathers to farmers and how they recorded their history without writing anything down.
We visit Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre to support our knowledge and understanding of this topic.
In the Spring term, we explore different ancient civilisations. We look at their greatest achievements and what they need to have in order to function as a city.
We also start our new book called The Hodgeheg. With this text in mind, we will write letters to Herefordshire Wildlife Trust and post them.
In maths, we love fractions! We have learnt about unit and non-unit fractions and how to compare them.
The summer term is busy. By this time we have done our Life Style Cafe. Last year, we used the money raised to have a morning of break dancing and parkour!
We also visit Small Breeds Farm Park. We get to see a variety of Owls and even meet a few. We learn about the British owls and other farmyard animals.
