PE and Sport Premium

Schools have been issued with funding from the Government as part of the Sport Premium initiative. This sum of money is to be spent by the school on ‘improving the quality of sport and PE’.

At Hampton Dene, we recognise the impact that PE and sport can have on children’s lives and are committed to providing a provision of PE and sport for children across the school. It is our aim that by the time children leave our school, they are physically literate and have the self-confidence to access PE and sporting content at a level they choose. We endeavour to provide a wide range of after school clubs to supplement the love of sport that we aim to nurture during your child’s time at Hampton Dene.

Impact and Monitoring

  • Use of funding will be monitored during the year to ensure that maximum impact is being achieved through the provision of quality PE and sporting opportunities.
  • Provision will work towards Hampton Dene retaining its Gold Sports Mark for the 2017/2018 academic year.
  • Funding will be allocated to provide specialist sporting opportunities for children in the LCC.
  • Ensure the school is able to participate in local tournaments and hold cluster events.
  • Encourage more participation in a wider range of after school activities for all children.
Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.
